Hello my name is Dave and well one day I hope you can either come to my brewpub or buy a six pack of my beer from your local beer place and enjoy my creation.  I love beer.  Yes a lot of people love beer.  A lot of people also love beer for the craft side of it.  They want to try new and exciting flavors and ingredients.  I love when a brewer puts something into a beer that I would never think of using.  It’s why I love this business and why my goal career wise is to one day make beer for a living.  I know it’s not the most glamorous job in the world.  But what I do for a living right now is sit in a cube all day and stare at computer screens.  I feel like I’m rotting away.

I want more and I want a job that I know I would love dearly.  It’s a messy job, like I said not glamorous but to know that you are creating something from your own ideas and having people enjoy them really makes me want to do this.  I’ve had enough beer in my life to know what I like and I think I know what other people would enjoy.

Yes I am a home brewer.  A very novice one at that but I’m learning.  I know it will take years and years for me to make my dream come true but I’m willing to work on it.

This blog is pretty much my journey through all of this.  From square one to hopefully something big.  If you’re a brewer or great homebrewer you will probably laugh at some of the stuff I post or mess up.  Please do and tell me what I am doing wrong.  Help me a long the way.  I’ll try to post daily or at least a few times a week with stuff I either do or learn.

Bottom line is, I have a dream of serving you beer one day.  Well my beer that is.
